چکیده
To the best of our knowledge, this study is first to investigate effect chemical vapour etching (CVE) combined with copper decoration on both optical and catalytic activities silicon micro-particles (SiμPs). After exposure acid vapours emanating from a hot solution hydrogen fluoride/nitric (HF/HNO 3 ), scanning electron microscope images treated powder show formation porous, sponge-like structure sidewalls SiμPs. Fourier transmission infra-red analysis shows appearance hydride bonds related porous structure. X-ray diffraction measurements Raman spectroscopy good crystallinity samples. The strong photoluminescence properties obtained SiμPs (pSiμPs) reveal that process generated nanocrystals within these particles. In work, we have investigated activity nanoparticles (CuNPs) loaded surface pSiμPs, in order reduce toxic compound 4-nitrophenol 4-aminophenol. results excellent performance very short times (less than 1 min).

Silicon nanowires (SiNWs) decorated by pulsed laser ablation with gold or copper nanoparticles (labeled as AuNPs@SiNWs and CuNPs@SiNWs) were investigated for their catalytic properties. Results demonstrated high catalytic performances in the Caryl-N couplings and subsequent carbonylations for gold and copper catalysts, respectively, that have no precedents in the literature. The excellent activ...

UNLABELLED The optical response of porous silicon (pSi) films, covered with a quasi-hexagonal array of hydrogel microspheres, to immersion in ethanol/water mixtures was investigated. For this study, pSi monolayers were fabricated by electrochemical etching, stabilized by thermal oxidation, and decorated with hydrogel microspheres using spin coating. Reflectance spectra of pSi samples with and w...
متن کاملSurface Characteristics and Catalytic Activity of Copper Deposited Porous Silicon Powder
Porous structured silicon or porous silicon (PS) powder was prepared by chemical etching of silicon powder in an etchant solution of HF: HNO₃: H₂O (1:3:5 v/v). An immersion time of 4 min was sufficient for depositing Cu metal from an aqueous solution of CuSO₄ in the presence of HF. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis revealed that the Cu particles aggregated upon an increase in metal co...
متن کاملOptical nonlinearity enhancement with graphene-decorated silicon waveguides
Broadband on-chip optical frequency combs (OFCs) are important for expanding the functionality of photonic integrated circuits. Here, we demonstrate a huge local optical nonlinearity enhancement using graphene. A waveguide is decorated with graphene by precisely manipulating graphene's area and position. Our approach simultaneously achieves both an extremely efficient supercontinuum and ultra-s...
